As far as other series, from Dragon Ball and One Piece to Sailor Moon and Transformers, animation fans are definitely familiar with the studio. With Dragon Ball Super, they relied on their in-house team, their Philippines Division, and a bevy of freelancer and foreign studios that honestly deserves its own exhaustive list. They've been the main studio to work on the franchise since GT. By 1990 Toei Animation had enough in-house to step up on their own during Dragon Ball Z, and took more of a lead role once Studio Junio closed. They've technically been with the series since the beginning, but due to low staff couldn't animate the series' first offering Dragon Ball, instead relying on and assisting with other animation studios.
